Many of us strive to eat healthier, especially when on-the-go, but getting access to food that fits our unique health needs and our unique tastes preferences is hard. ​ That’s why we created Blendid, a contactless and autonomous robotic food kiosk that uses advanced technology – including robotics, machine vision, and artificial intelligence – to prepare and serve healthy and delicious food, customized to your preferences.

Inspiration

It all started in 2015 with three founders—Venki Ayalur, Vipin Jain, and Vijay Dodd—on a mission to make fresh, healthy, personalized food available anytime, anywhere.

Innovation through Technology

Creating made-to-order meals is time-consuming and expensive. By combining robotics, AI, and machine learning, we discovered a way to automate food prep—making it faster, more efficient, and more accessible.

Real-World Impact

After years of development, our first commercial kiosk launched in March 2019. What began as a smoothie kiosk has grown into a vision to offer a full range of healthy, affordable meals powered by robotics.

The Blendid Smoothie Kiosk (The Original)

Blendid's journey began with the original Smoothie Bar, which marked a significant leap in food automation. This autonomous kiosk utilized advanced robotics and AI to prepare customized smoothies, catering to individual taste and nutritional preferences. Its debut demonstrated the feasibility of contactless, efficient, and personalized food service. The original Smoothie Bar has since evolved into a suite of cutting-edge models designed for diverse environments.”
